The regular season is five days away and everyone is looking forward to a much improved season. Before the season starts however Dayton has a challenge on Blackburn Court Tonight as they face the #7 Ranked NAIA team in the country.
The Georgetown Tigers had a very impressive outing last week as they took the Louisville Cardinals to the wire before losing 94 – 92. The tigers were lead in scoring by guards Jason Petrimoulx and Justin Taylor (18 pts.). Both shot lights out from behind the arc hitting a combined 7 of 13 (53%). Jason Petrimoulx hit back to back three’s to tie the game with just a little over 12 minutes to play in the game. The cardinals, however, had too much fire power in the end and sent the Tigers home with a disappointing loss.
The
Dayton
Flyers struggled shooting the ball against Northwood, but still came away with a win. Freshman
Marcus Johnson
was a big reason that the flyers won as he lead all scorers with 19 points. The flyers are hoping to improve and they must if the want to end the exhibition season with a win. There are still quite a few question marks on this team and I am sure Coach Gregory will get answers for most of those questions tonight at U.D. Arena.
The Georgetown Tigers are a veteran team who has been in the fire before and will be a great match for the flyers in the final tune-up before taking on Ausitn Peay this Saturday.
