Dante: Dayton or Xavier

With all the basketball played in July at various AAU events around the country a young man could have his stock rise with a month of playing great basketball. This is exactly what Dante Jackson, a 6’5 shooting guard from Greenfield, Ohio did while playing in Kentucky and Florida.

Dante took the first week in August to visit two schools that have shown interest in him from the very beginning. Dante was on Dayton’s campus for an unofficial visit just last week and then went down to Xavier the following day. Dante has been on Xavier’s campus a lot this summer and some people think that Dante will end up a musketeer.

Dante Jackson has announced that Thursday he will make his decision public and end his recruitment for some teams. Dayton and Xavier have always been the leader for Dante but other schools are also being considered. Notre Dame, Indiana, Cincinnati, and Kentucky are also in the mix but don’t expect Dante to pick a school outside of Ohio.

Dayton Insider will report as soon as Dante makes his decision public. Stay tuned to see if Dante is going to be a Flyer. Most people did not expect a battle between the two A10 schools until the winter and it seems they are going to go head to head in August.
